Ahmed Mushfiq Mobarak is the Jerome Kasoff ’54 Professor of Management and Economics at Yale University and the founder of Y-RISE, a research initiative focused on scaling innovative solutions to global development challenges. His work in development economics explores strategies to improve welfare and expand effective interventions, particularly in Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sierra Leone.

Mobarak has played a pivotal role in advising governments on public policy, including COVID-19 response strategies and large-scale public health interventions such as nationwide mask distribution campaigns.
