US-Bangladesh Unity Initiative (UBUI) Board of Director, Ehteshamul Haque, had the honor of meeting Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru in Washington, D.C., where they discussed UBUI’s initiatives and vision for fostering a stronger US-Bangladesh partnership.
During the meeting, the Secretary General emphasized the importance of US-Bangladesh bilateral relations and underscored the pivotal role UBUI can play in strengthening this partnership. Both sides recognized the need for strategic engagement and sustained collaboration to advance mutual interests and elevate Bangladesh’s presence on the global stage.
The BNP leaders are in the United States to attend the National Prayer Breakfast, a high-profile event bringing together global leaders and policymakers. While BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman was invited, he is unable to attend, and his daughter Zaima Rahman will represent him at the event.
UBUI remains committed to bridging connections, fostering collaboration, and amplifying Bangladesh’s voice internationally. This engagement reaffirms UBUI’s mission to promote strategic dialogue, advance advocacy efforts, and contribute to a more prosperous future for Bangladesh.
